a) You don’t get the business results you want:
If you are not happy with your current business results it is time to consider redesigning your website. In order to see whether your website is contributing towards our businesses we need to consider your website’s conversion rates. If your website’s visitors can’t find what they’re looking for, your website’s design is poor. Visitors will leave your website very quickly and they probably won’t come back. This represents a lost opportunity for you. If that’s the case, you’ll need a new website design that’s user-friendly and keeps your clients and prospects happy and more importantly, engaged.
A good design is easy to navigate, helping visitors to find what they need and taking you closer to having a sale or getting them in contact with you.

- Is your website’s navigation comprehensive?
- Is your website’s vital content visible to everybody?
- Are your products and services offer up to date?
- Do you really need all the widgets on your website?
- Does your website have sufficient functionality?
c) Poor website’s Search Engine Optimisation (SEO):
SEO represents everything you do to “convince” search engines that your website deserves to be listed in a leading position in its search results. This ensures more visitors to your website which in turn can lead to better exposure and hopefully more leads and conversions.
In short, you can improve your website’s SEO by improving content, making sure that the pages can be correctly indexed, and ensuring that the content is unique and relevant to the prospective customer. The golden rule to remember is that Search Engines want to display content that is valuable to their users.
Once again you need to ask yourself a couple of questions, bearing the above in mind.
- Can you find your desired search term on the first page of Google search results?
- Are your competitors ranked higher in search results?
- Do you know which targeted keywords your successful competitors are using?
- Does your website have a blog?
- Do you have social media accounts and are they integrated with your website?
d) Poorly designed website:
If you hesitate to show your website address with your friends, family or customers, then you already know that your website may have problems? Why struggle? Start a plan of action to get your site revamped. If it is not clear from a quick look at your website what your business is about, it may be time for a redesign, too. Design trends are constantly changing, so it is vital to keep up to date with the latest trends.
More questions you need to ask yourself are:
- Does your current website look modern?
- Do you have high quality typography on your website?
- Are images properly chosen and placed?
- Is your website’s content dynamic and often changing?
- Is your audience still the same as before?
- Does your website have enough call to actions?
- Is your landing page communicating your message?
- Are there many interactions on your website?
e) Poor website technology used:
Outdated website technology limits the functionality of your website and can often cause websites to break or run very slow. The same can be said for outdated server-side software.
Ask yourself these last questions.
- Is your website fast enough?
- Is your whole website working correctly?
- Are your customers satisfied with your website’s functionalities?
- Is your website still as “smooth and light” as before?
- Do you use automatic effects such as audio or videos on your website?
- Are your third party tools on your website up to date?
I think it is very clear where your answers may be leading you to. If your website does not meet the standards raised in the above questions it should be clear that your website may need to be redesigned.
